Join the Global Bean meeting on legume seed banks on 9 December (17:00โ€“18:30 CET), our final public meeting of the year. The session will explore how institutions, initiatives, and researchers are preserving and managing legume seeds and genetic material through seed banks and community efforts.

The session will explore both theoretical and practical perspectives on maintaining viable seed banks, safeguarding legume diversity, and strengthening the networks that make this work possible

Participants will discover how seed banks safeguard crop diversity, learn about challenges in maintaining viable collections, and hear success stories from legume conservation networks. The discussion will connect science and community practice, showing how both contribute to a more resilient food system.

This event is part of the Global Bean networkโ€™s ongoing focus on seeds and biodiversity. To learn more, explore our articles on seed multiplication and legume diversity.
